I replaced all four tyres last week, bought a new rear silencer to fiit on Saturday, then today, the gearbox went bang, lost all drive and it deposited all the oil on the ground. Looks like a complete write off.

Anyone got one I can pick up over the weekend as I have a work van to use?

If you need one urgently to get you by then i have a couple of spares, you could borrow one for the time being. The synchro's have gone on both though, from memory one is getting into 2nd and the other getting into 3rd. I think its only an issue though when high up in the rev range trying to shift quickly.

My long term plan is to build one decent box out of the two but like i said, if you need to borrow one to get you by until you can source a decent one to buy then let me know. It's a bit of a trek from you to Doncaster but the offer is on the table. Thumbs up

There’s one for sale on Facebook for £80 I think might be worth inquiring about

Just an update. AA delivered it to my local garage and it turns out the long driveshaft bearing came loose and the driveshaft fell out. Will find out in the morning if the splines are damaged but might be okay.

Did the bearing explode or has someone not put the hockey stick bolts back properly

Was the latter but the driveshafts were replaced over 2 years ago so took a long time to work loose.

I've driven it today and seems okay.

I'll service it, fit the exhaust back box, then give a proper test.
