I seem to be struggling to get a lot of tings these days, and i'm starting to think all the PAS racks are gone for our cars?

Anyone noticing the same?

Yeah, inlet manifold gasket NFP. Little shock moment at the parts dealer three months ago when I needed to remount the inlet manifold during my LPG conversion. But you can get one from Elring as did I. Elring part number 176.930. According to their online catalog it fits following engines: LFY, RFS, RFT, RFV, RFY. And it fits better than the PTFE gasket I had before which started to flow and reduce the diameter of the inlet channels.

I had the Thermatec one, bought from eBay brand new. It developed a small vacuum leak every now and then so I retightened the screws like three times before I took the manifold off. The material flows very badly under pressure and temperature. At least mine did. Had it on for 10 months and the gasket looked like a piece of crap and was not usable anymore. There must be a pic of it on a friend's phone.

PAS rams haven't been available for years and years now!
Useful info on the inlet gasket thanks - I need one as I'm de-charging my car shortly.

is that Stan years where they actually only get used once in a blue moon? Razz

use the J4R or Mi16 gaskets, they are still available, or an aftermarket RS gasket.

Excuse me?

Yes, the current engine has now been in my '6' for 8 years and yes for some of that time it has been mothballed so to speak, however it was in heavy use during 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2016.

And by heavy use I mean trackdays and European trips etc.

I can possibly help with AFTERMARKET part numbers for bits if people get stuck, only on hard parts though like brakes, steering, suspension, wheel bearings, discs, pads, shoes, also STANDARD engine components /gaskets etc. I wouldn't be able to help with trim or body parts. Thumbs up

Elring part number 176.930 as in post #9 works fine for me. According EAN number is 4041248164181.

In fact any paper/cardboard gasket should do.
