Hi, I'm not sure if this is normal or if there's something else going on, My coolant temperature gauge inside the car fluctuates quite a bit. The car doesn't overheat but when cruising on the motorway etc. Its down near 70 degrees and when stuck in traffic etc its up near 100 degrees. Does this sound right? ________________________________________ 208 GTI OwnerTurbo'd '6 project - work in progress |

Yup, sounds about right, mine did exactly the same. In my new car I found it odd that the temp never moved!________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Both of mine sit just below 80 whilst driving and up to 100 when in traffic for a bit. If you think it's too low replace the thermostat for piece of mind.________________________________________ How to do a clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

thermostat is 83 degrees so if it doesnt warm up past that in normal running I'd put a new one in.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Hi everyone, I recently started using my 6 and I noticed that when traveling through the hairpin bends without ever exceeding 3000 rpm the temperature is around 90, almost 100.it's normal? if I start using all the rpms will it stay between 90 and 100? what would be the optimal temperature? thanks a lot to everyone |

Yours is definitely too hot. Maybe the thermostat is stuck mainly closed. I would remove it and test or buy a new one. Stan. traveling freely on the motorway or normally even on extra-urban roads it never exceeds 80 degrees. if you force your hand you get to 90/100 but I haven't yet tried to do a special test at full throttle. |
