Hi all,

I bought a VTI beam and when I removed the torsion bars and rotated the main tube while the beam was on the floor I noticed the end of the arms would move in and out. When I mean in and out if it were on the car the rear wheels toe would go in and out with weight on and off the rear.

Is this normal?

I've fitted the beam on my car with 20mm torsion bars and it feels horrid, also the tyres have a weird wear pattern on them now.

What are your thoughts?

I know I should have used the 21mm bars but I needed them in my estate so the back end wasn't on the floor lugging all my karting gear around the country.

Should of put some new bearings and shafts in while you had it stripped

I should have said I pulled it apart and the shaft and bearings were good in it and I replaced the seals just because I thought it best to while it was apart.

I thought at the time it was a trick handling feature the VTS has.

As I'm turning the main tube and the end of the arms are going in and out would that most likely be the main tube is bent rather then the shafts and arms?
