Am I right in thinking they're made from a different material than the phase 2? Mine is currently looking very shabby and I want to repaint it. The phase 1 and 2 are one piece. The phase 3 is a two-piece version that is a bit longer. miki4 Regular Location: Cologne Registered: 09 Nov 2015 Posts: 393 Status: Offline	Post #3 Phase 3 is plastic afaik and should be no problem to paint. Mine is painted. Phase 2 is rubber and is trickier to paint. The paint can also crack due to flexing.

Phase 2 mounts through holes in the rear hatch glass whereas phase 3 doesn't so if you're going from 2 to 3 you'll need to drill a couple of extra holes in the hatch and plug the holes in the glass. ________________________________________ Rich
