Hello all,

A few months ago I purchased a phase 1 GTi6 airbox from a lad in Liege, Belgium.

In the box it was packed in, I found a tube that I had never seen before. Yesterday, I was creating order in the chaos that was called "spare parts" and was trying to fit it on/in the airbox:

It fits perfectly inside the airbox and filter.

Is this supposed to go in there? As far as I know my '98 GTi6 does not have this tube/cone fitted.
