Hopefully I'm not being too thick here..

Are there differences in the CV joints (inner and outer) between ph1, ph2 etc?

The driveshaft guys sorting out my wide track stuff say there are, and some are NLA?

I must confess I didn't realise there were differences..

These are abs ones btw.

Thanks
Iain

none whatsoever as far as I have cone across.

they're all abs hollow shaft type, same as the turbo diesels and xsi's.

lower spec non abs cars may have solid bar and smaller cv with same hub and gearbox spline but they are not common

Yeah, my early 1.4 had small solid shafts with a spider type outer CV, shouldn't really be relevant for anything XU though.

Thanks for your prompt replies fellas. If you two guys don't know of any differences then that's as good as gospel for me.
I'll get back to the driveshaft company.
Cheers

Haven't done, no.
Is this something they retail?
I'm waiting on the driveshaft company coming back to me.
Obviously getting hold of the outer joints isn't difficult anyway, but they're also saying inner are NLA, so just looking into reconditioning as an option.
