Evening all,

Spring might arrive in a few months time so I want to have a few routes ready for that first dry day.

Do any of you know about a gadget that can allow me to load a route in and then it can direct me along it when driving?
I know strava allows you to log a ride and then if you pay more money it can then direct you along it next time. Doesn't work for cars though.

i always use Google maps to get me places.

Its a shame it doesn't log what route you took. i dont know if i'll ever find that gravel road with corn fields either side with the sick jump about halfway down it... Admittedly i did jump that in my now deceased 106, but i'm sure it would be just as fun in the 306!

i dont think i could wipe the smile off my face for the entire day haha.

Google maps does log where you've been.

In the menu section, choose 'your timeline's.

Choose a date and it will show you everything

i use a 2004 printed A-Z and just guess where half of the roads are/should be, and pull over at the side of the road every 14 minutes to check i'm still going in the right direction

Yes google maps is great for getting somewhere but I can't set a route on it.

I know you can do it as people have sent me driving routes to try. Never actually set one up myself though

fire that link up in your Google maps equipped device, you can then download the directions so you can use it offline so save your data charges.

WP, that is so kind of you but kind of weird too. How did you know the next place I might actually need guided navigation for would be the Ring, which it really is!

Albeit in the other direction. True to form WP giveth with one hand, and in the other taketh away lol Thumbs up

I've been a few times, think this will be my sixth time. But always following others or using a good old fashioned Atlas of Europe. This will be my first time back after totalling my last car, a little bit nervous this time, which is a good thing

I dowloaded a planner called In-Route. You can plan stop-off and detaled routes then email the file, put it on a card and use in your satnav. Cost £8 for the app 12 months ago.

You can use it on your phone too, but I used it in the Lakes where the signal was dire and it was useless, hence I now use it on a GPS device.
