Might be selling my brand spanking new FRONT BC v1 coilovers

Been fitted to the car since mid December and covered 15 road miles.

Reason I might be selling them is due to miscommunication between the company I ordered them from and the BC factory.

I went for bc coilovers as far as I know they are the only coilover available for the 306 that lower the car by shortening the body and not by lowering the spring seat, this means that the damper is not already using some of its damper travel when set in its lowest setting like normal coilovers.

When ordering the bc's I specified that I wanted to go mega low so that I can get the wheel as far up in the dimma arch as possible, they told me that they could do a custom pair of fronts that were 20mm lower than the off the shelf product (at this stage they didn't tell me the custom ones cost more)
Somewhere along the ordering process miscommunication happened between the company I ordered them from and bc so I just got sent the standard off the shelf items.

Well they don't go low enough for my liking, despite the company taking the blame bc won't take back the ones I recieved as they have been fitted Sad

The company have agreed to give me a discount on the custom ones but they are still more expensive than the standard ones.... this is why I think I got sent the standard ones as the company only charged me for them and not the custom ones.

I paid £699 delivered for the set but as of the beginning of 2017 bc put their prices up by £180 due to the exchange rate but no companies on line have amended their websites yet. I have phoned all the companies today to confirm that the price on their websites is not correct... feel free to do so your self.
To buy just the fronts now they are £500 I'm wiling to sell mine at a discounted rate.

I'll sell mine for £400 delivered just for the fronts

This picture was taken before I fitted them and they are still in the same condition, they can be lowered by another 25mm than shown in that pic.

Don't like to take you sale thread off topic, but I think you are being shafted here. You haven't got what you paid for, why should you end up out of pocket? Don't suppose you paid by credit card did you, that would be the easiest way out of this for you.

GLWTS though, hope you get it all sorted

This is how my car sits with them fitted at their lowest setting, bearing in mind that my wheels are 18" with 40 profile, that my arches are a lot higher than standard ones and that I have a 15mm thick plate under my top mount for the widetrack...
Lapit has these fitted to his car so check his pictures to see how low a standard 306 shell would sit, Chris also thinks he has 25mm more that he could lower his by.

I know mate iv been going through this with the company I ordered them from since the 30th December saying that iv been missold a product but bc are saying they have sent out what I paid for so that's why I got the standard kit.

For the custom ones they want an extra £258 on top of the cost of the standard ones so £758 just for the fronts.

I even said I'll keep the body that goes in the hub and the collars so I could send back the inserts and springs, pay the extra for the custom inserts and springs but they won't do that either...

They are offering me the new custom coilovers for £550 delivered so at least I'm saving a bit of cash and so is the person that buys these

Unfortunately I didn't pay by credit card and spoke to citizens advice for what it was worth... they said the same as bc, iv only paid for the off the shelf kit and not the custom ones and as iv fitted them and adjusted them I'm not entitled to a refund Sad

Its not the end of the world if these don't sell as I can get different top mounts which would give me the extra 15/20mm I want but that works out more money than selling these and getting the custom ones.

If I knew these adjusted height and preload separately I'd have bought these instead of the Gaz golds I have which is annoying but not the end of the world. 400 is a very good price for those. Had I not just got my hands on some r888r's I'd be tempted to buy them and try them and sell on either those or the Gaz depending which I like more.

But I think 3rdtimelucky should buy these Wink Wink Wink

Apparently bc have only ever made a total of 3 kits including mine for the 306.

Been speaking to them about a group buy discount but that all depends on if the get my order correct this time, not that it was bc's fault it was more one of their dealers fault

Yep BC are indeed a v big concern.
V prominent in Japanese car scenes.
What's been interesting more recently is to see the demand for quality coilovers at a good price that suit U.K. road conditions.
BC suffer as badly as the next from corrosion, too stiff damper & spring rates etc.
Recently Meister R, a U.K. Company, have developed their range of coilovers by taking the original units from BC's supplier and re-valve them, powder coat them & change spring rates to suit U.K. conditions. They still look outwardly like BC's at first glance, but should be that bit better all round.
I got a set for my Impreza Type R, and although I've yet to use them, reviews from fellow U.K. Owners have been very positive. Hopefully they'll last on U.K. Roads too!
With an opening deal last year when they came to the market I have a full set of these for circa £600 (I think - it was a while ago).
It makes you realise outside of the Bilsteins etc the little 306 is poorly catered for around this point.
The guys in the U.K. that are behind Meister R are good guys that have been active discussing needs on UK forums, and are knowledgeable chaps. Perhaps if you want to pursue a 306 coilover solution you could consider approaching them at put your experience with the BC's to good use?
Sorry this has gone a little off topic - but since you've sold them anyway - maybe this could be an option for you?
Here's my Impreza ones;

Plenty of threads on Scoobynet if you want to investigate further Olly.
Here's an example. A quick search would reveal more.
I would say there's def group buy potential here!
http://www.scoobynet.com/1041000-review-of-meisterr-zetacrd-2.html
Jerrick and Edwin have been fairly active on there.
They're now doing a GT1 spec for the Impreza which is basically entirely UK built and pretty top level.

Had a brief chat with him to see what discount we would get 10 people.
With 10 he would be able to offer the v1's at £680 which is £100 saving per set....

Imo the spring rates are good on the 306 and you can specify what rates you want whilst ordering and they will obviously valve them for that specific spring.

Custom extreme low kits will be an extra £150 if purchased at the same time as the group buy.

The finish of the bc's are a million times better than the old Gaz golds and kws imo

Those meisters look identical to the BC's even down to the packaging. Probably just a sister company.
