Brief progress report...

Started with painting and refitting the ABS pump, bracket and brake pipes.
Then onto the wiring loom.

Spent Some time cleaning up the front exhaust heat shield and painting with VHT silver pain to see how it would turn out.

ARB

Slam panel and subframe was next, got them blasted and painted this week.

Before..

After blast..

Painted..

4 boxes arrived from Euro Car Parts this week, should make some progress over the next few weeks!..

Christmas and a new puppy has slowed progress the last couple of weeks.
Inbetween Christmas shopping and picking up dog turds I've managed a few bits and bobs.

Had a go with this stuff and was pleasantly surprised with the results!

Managed to get the rear bumper, spoiler and side trim fitted this morning.

Dug out the engine (had a 'runaway engine on skateboard downhill moment' skinned shins to save the quarter panel on the focus, doh... list of injuries due to this project is increasing nicely, haha) and started stripping the block ready for some paint before refitting.

Anyone know why Peugeot did angle their engines like this? Was it for packaging/ space or a lower bonnet profile maybe??

Probably so it fits, and also to move more mass rearwards towards the middle of the vehicle. Even having done this it is a very nose heavy car.

Decided to ditch the standard fan set-up for twin 12" CBS fans, OEM never worked properly. I plan to use the revotec M22 controller with an override switch under the dash.
Fitted a mocal thermostatic sandwich plate with 19 row 235mm oil cooler.

On the hunt now for powder coated inlet, front calipers and exhaust.

Wooden shelf will be replaced with this bracket I've sketched.
