1997 Peugeot 306 GTi 6 Phase 1 in cherry red.

The time has come to sell my beloved 6.

The car is in very original condition and has only covered 52K!

The car is a rare non-sunroof AC car, which also works.

Owner & service history:
The car was registered by a Peugeot dealer (Rangers of Sailsbury) in 1997 as a demonstrator, then 3 months later they sold to its first owner which owned the car until 2001,then he or she traded in at another Peugeot dealer (Gates of Brockenhurst), then was sold on by the same dealer to the second owner which owned it from 2001 to 2010 when he traded in at a smaller car dealer in Southampton where I purchased the car from.

After I bought the car I contacted the previous owner to gain some back ground info, during the conversation he mentioned during his ownership he fell ill and could not drive for a period of time and the car was only driven back & forth to the mot bay by his wife during this time (explains the low mileage) & the only reason he traded the car in was due to needing an automatic.

He also mentioned he always garaged the car, as I have also done the same in my owner ship, so the car been garaged since 2001!!!

The paper work side of things is very comprehensive and has full service history, Peugeot main dealer up to 2005 & then small garages up until I have owned it. In my ownership it has ben looked after by myself. (I am a mechanic)

In my ownership of the car I have done following:
Full service April 2011 @ 50 125 miles
Full service May 2015 @50 915 miles
Cam belt, tensioner/guides &, water pump changed May 2015 @ 50 915 miles
Nearly brand new brake pads & discs all round (May 2015 @ 50 915)
Nearly brand new set of tyres all round (Avon Zv5’S)
Also painted the brake calipers & carriers red

From May 2011 to May 2015 the car was garaged & off the road, I would regularly start and drive the car round the block to keep the battery toped up & brakes free.

Bodywork & mechanical condition:
The car is mechanically sound and the engine in perfect order, no rattles or any top end noise at all. Drive wise it feels tight and like it just came out the factory.
The clutch is original and has a good biting point, is a tad heavy but not the heaviest I have seen.

The bodywork is in very good condition, couple of marks here and there but overall in very good condition.
The only two issues I would say is the wheels could do with a refurb as a couple of the wheels are starting to bubble. And the windscreen has a wiper score on the passenger side.

The interior is in very good condition also, the driver’s seat has hardly any wear, the front passenger & rear seats look like they have never been sat in!! The steering wheel & gear knob are also in very good condition with hardly any wear. As mentioned before, the AC works & is ice cold. The head unit is original with the 6-disc changer in the boot.

The car also has two working key fobs & 1 standard key.

The only real reason for sale is I need to sell the car to raise money for my deposit to buy a house, I would love to keep hold of the car but needs must.

There are not many phase 1 GTi 6’s left and only 1 or 2 in original condition like this.

The price reflects this,I could be prepared to negotiate but serious offers only.

Not on here much anymore so my mobile number is at the top & my email is: candcmotors@live.com
