Hi all,

I was wondering how many of you use your GTI's as your daily?

I have my Dturbo as a daily and try to take my '6 once a week as it's a good 20 mile drive to work. I do really look forward to driving it now I've got a lot of the niggles sorted.

How many of your GTI's are work in progress at the moment and off the road?

I drive my van daily for work
the audi for family outings
the supercharged 6 occasionally when I get the chance (my toy)
the standard 6 never (should sell it really)

I used to drive a 6 daily many years ago, since ive had a van for my business I use that most of the time, so now the 6 doesn't get many miles put on it at all but I do really look forward to driving it.

My 6 is my daily and has been for 7 years do far. It now has 166k miles on it but drives better than a new one. It's also my toy car and has been round dial Brandshatch and done Prescott Hill many times. It did 28 runs at this last pugfest. LOL

I've been using two GTi-6s for over 10 years, doing 60 miles a day plus at weekends so about 18,000 miles a year!

Mine is my daily, and is a work in progress! Done just over 13,000 miles in the 2 and a half years I've been driving it. Fortunately my commute is only 5 miles each way at the moment, but I could be changing jobs and working in London soon so it'll be sidelined in favour of trains & tubes. Might sell it once it's done and buy a V8 so I can tick that box, but we'll see.

Bought a rallye for my daily but trying hard not to use it. Been using a motorbike with this lovely weather. Used to use a 6 as a daily but it was getting tired and i lost the love when i had to drive it 40 miles every day.

Yeah, my 6 is a daily, doing 20 miles each way. Part motorway, part other. Always gets a good blat! I lift share, so it's only 2 weeks a month. 115k now and singing sweetly. Never use crap fuel, which I'm sure helps.

I use my Rallye daily and it's currently sat past 146k and counting.

A month ago, renewed old with new stock Peugeot OEM parts:
Springs, Shocks, droplinks, front ARB's, TRE's, p-bushes, top mount struts, upper & lower engine mounts

It's like driving a new car on a 17 years old shell Smile

My 6 is used every day and has covered 10,000 miles since MOT in December. Rallye is sorned and under long term full restoration. My 6 will probably be ready for the bin by the time my rallye drives out the workshop!

Used my old '6 as a daily back in 2010/11. But Rallye is rarely used weekend/shows car. Did drive it daily for a short period but it's too low to drive everyday really or the roads near me too crap whichever
