Basically the spring seat is not sitting central on the top mount bearing.
(Gaz coilovers using standard top mounts)
I can get a pic if need be but just wondering if anyone else running coilovers have noticed the same

I would suggest sir that your bearing is in upside down Does the bearing lip point down ??? Kind or hard to see from the pic When they package and send out top mount n bearing kits they place the bearing in upside down ________________________________________ BLACK RALLYE - phoenixWHITE RALLYE - valliant http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history |

Really, well I'll be f**ked!I didn't build them up as my compressor was out of action so took them down to a garage to replace the top mount! Driven 2000 miles like that and 2 mot's!!! |

Yup looks like your bearing is upside down. I have gaz golds on mine and their fine with standard mounts people assume because there's a slot cut into the top mount that the bearing does actually fit into the wrong way up that's the way they go.... ________________________________________ Black power baby! Haven't had a look but I can garentee the muppets at pro tyre have fitted the bearing outer race upside down like you have pointed out!My air compressor is up and running so I'll sort it out tomorrow. Na definitely won't need spring compressors as when the weight is off the springs are loose |
