Not sure what the going rate is I'd like to be able to use all the original fixings and latches. I have a phase 2 debadged at the moment. Keep me posted if you decide to make some ________________________________________ Old pugs don't die they just get faster |

The Spoox ones? If so I wasn't paying silly money for something I could do myself I've never actually made one but I'm not sure about the strength issues of using one with standard mounts Probably better to use bonnet pins and just lift off? Unless I make the inner frame support too which would increase the work load and price! ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

As pleased as I am with mine and its twin skinned it doesn't have front centre original catch & I wouldn't want it to ...it moves & flexes even at 70 let alone 139 I'm doing at Combe ....I don't think a centre front original fixing would be Safe ?Got two (genuine) not Ebay fake Aero catches on each front corner ... With it closed you can't tell it's not Metal Mine came off the 306OC group buy ... I do know of a French company that makes Badged ones but not centre catch ..they are about £250 delivered I believe ? I think these 306OC ones are better though even have strut fixing I've just received my twin skin Tailgate that fixes off original hinges but not off original centre lock so Areo catches again ... |

Yeah having a rethink on that one would be nice to use the hinges though. So do these flex quite abit even if there reinforced ? ________________________________________ Old pugs don't die they just get faster |

The ones that came from 306oc are amazing quality twin skinned ....even have the x2 strut balls fitted for the Rams ...don't flex with Aero catches fitted only at 120ish does it start to flex a bit & mine fits on standard hinges .... |

Never had problems with my carbon bonnet and it's got standard style centre catch uses original mounting points and has strut mounts too. Done 140 with it on. Doesn't flap about either. But it is at least double skinned and isn't nearly as light as some. Got a much lighter carbon one on the way but it has damage so will end up getting wrapped. ________________________________________ Black power baby! I'm not saying flapping I'm saying flexing at 120 & flexes up by the windscreen at 139 much more between the water Spray jets .....but it's not 139 on the flat motorway its 139 coming round a slight right hander Folly to Avonrise to the Quarry do you have balls corner ....all the cars twisting & moving etc ...I just noticed mine was flexing somewhat Me personally ....wouldn't run a centre catch on any Composite Bonnet but thats my choice ....always a chance it can rip from its fixing / Mounting & bonnets hitting W/screen & top of roofs isn't a great look |
