Brands was 102.5db when I went. My magnex'd standard engine only made 89db so I reckon you'd be fine Danny. Just go there on a track session and sneak it to the sound checker guy. You won't need paperwork. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

UPDATESGood - Fitted the new battery and this has solved my starting issues, so very happy about that Bad - It's idling worse than ever, it's not that bad however it's getting worse feeling a bit lumpy. I feel maybe when I cleaned the ICV its semi fixed it but I just need a new one, so one is in the post. - Still stalling intermittently at junctions, so putting this down to ICV - For the first time ever it was spluttering from 1k-3k and very boggy, never had this before. Not sure what that is it only happened once To do before track day (12th July) - Fit - - - - - Fit new ICV - they sent me the wrong one again - Clean induction kit ________________________________________ Phase 1 silver track car335i daily |

Just had a mare. DRIVESHAFT After ages of f*cking around I managed to get the main part of the driveshaft free, however it just came off in my hand! There were no clips on the CV boot and half the thing just popped off. I'm now struggling to get the other half off as its pretty confusing, so I think I'm going to have to call a mechnic to come out. However I'm worried the driveshaft is now fooked and I need to get new ones, track day is on tuesday and I have a wedding to go to this weekend.... OIL COOLER Had a real surprise when I realised the phase 1's had some weird old school oil cooler on them! For ages I was trying to work out how the bloody thing would fit! I think I've got the placement right for the cooler and the sandwich plate is on. I found it tough to tighten up as the nut sits so flush to the plate you can barely get a socket on it. ________________________________________ Phase 1 silver track car335i daily |

To remove the long part of the shaft which goes through the lower mount there is two nuts you need to slacken off on the lower mount, which allow two L shaped bolts to twist out the way for the shafts bearing to come free. might need a little tap or a pry bar if its not been off in a while________________________________________ 1997 ph1 bianca GTI6 - The looker1996 ph1 Sigma GTI6 - Dead 1999 Red Rallye - The Daily 2005 Nissan Navara D40 - Family car 1968 Mustang Coupe - The dirty little secret Put ya foot down, put ya foot down we'll loose em easy! |

OIL COOLER FITTEDThanks to Damien for a great kit here, had everything I needed Got it fitted in a position where the number plate will be blocking it during normal driving so I do not overcool the oil, once I get on track I can remove the number plate and let the air flow: Just had to cut the bumper a bit to get it to fit, not too bad: I just hope there are no leaks where I have forgotten to tighten something up enough. Should be ok though. ________________________________________ Phase 1 silver track car335i daily |

LATESTHave cut an OMP cage that I think Ross got from Dan? Wasn't so easy but got it out in the end, sitting in the back of the car now: Also fitted the B12's to the front, the old struts were a right pain in the arse to get out but managed in the end. Bought new antiroll bar links as well. Just need to fit the rears and read up on the FAQ on this forum. There doesn't look to be a big height difference between the front and back yet but maybe its still settling. ________________________________________ Phase 1 silver track car335i daily |

PROGRESSEngine issues I had issues with flat spots and idling so changed over the ICV and Lambda and this seems to have solved my problems. My air intake pipe is split pretty badly so I'd like to get that sorted at some point as I heard the length of them help generate the torque. Suspension Fitted the B6 rears yesterday which was as bad a job as I was expecting. One of my locking wheel nuts has rounded off (f*ck knows why it has them on there) so will need to get my cousin to weld a nut on there for me to get it out. However i managed to change n/s without taking the wheel or the eggsauce off so pretty chuffed! Roll cage The cage and areas of the car we are going to weld have all been cleaned up with a grinder so almodt good to go just need to make up the brackets and buy some roll cage tube. To do Weld in passenger seat Weld in cage Fit Miles gear linkages, I'll try and do that one night this week and add some more go faster track stickers! ________________________________________ Phase 1 silver track car335i daily |

How did you find brands? Looking to book it up for 19th November and trying to drag Aaron6 and 3rdtimelucky with me too. Dan has a new exhaust now which should be quieter so he should be ok for track as well. Fingers crossed mine will pass too. It will be fine on static but once the boost kicks in its still LOUD ________________________________________ Black power baby! They are super picky about noise, my cousin had to buy a baffle for his exhaust as he wasn't allowed out otherwise. I saw a Jag (had loads of stuff done to it) that had to slow down on the driveby as I guessed they warned him. As you may know fun track though! ________________________________________ Phase 1 silver track car335i daily |

It's only half hour 40 mins from me so ideal really but will have to check noise limits for that day. ________________________________________ Black power baby!
