My car never really fails. Just like to improve things and try my best to keep it driving tips top. No point owning a poorly maintained one. LOL

LOL

It did the other week, you were ready to replace it...glad you managed to sort it though. Thumbs up

Also glad you managed to get back on here Iain, not sure why the membership didn't work when you registered but at least it was a quick fix. Smile

Not the cars fault though. That was a jet wash issue. LOL

I've jet washed countless engine bays (carefully) when I worked for mitsubishi as when the workshop went quiet and the valeting bay was busy I'd go work down there for anything from hours to a week lol. Never once had an issue until your bloody car Aaron LOL

No worries mate.

Unfortunately already had an 'oops' moment!
Was having a cracking day at Curborough, despite the morning rain, and was getting quicker with virtually every run just through familiarity with the car and with fwd.

After lunch things were beginning to dry and out and I was on a decent lap until a combination of turns got me increasingly out of shape.. A touch on the wet grass and I shot off and into the crash pads in front of a barrier. Just about the only place where you can hit something unfortunately!

It wasn't a big impact but enough to push the front bumper into the rad, and the rad into the gearbox in turn and hole it, so end of play for me and got recovered home.

Not really a biggy and if nothing else gives me a reason to sort the stone chips out! Haven't had a really close look yet, but figure it'll be easier to replace the bonnet and wing rather than repair. If anyone has a bonnet and NSF wing going spare let me know Wink

Is this the quickest bump yet? Collected Friday, new tires Saturday (ADO8R's are awesome btw), sprinted and bumped Weds..?

Roll eyes already..... AD08R'S clearly aren't awesome when it rains though lol. Does look quite short that tbh need to get the bumper and slam panel off and see what's what really.

I told you not to lift when the arse starts to go LOL

Oh no man this is nor good you have barely had the car. As Armzsc6 says do not lift of when back goes these cars suffer from LOOS but once used to it LOOS is your best friend.

RallyeRed - might be worth giving pug_306 a PM with regards to the replacement parts- he'll see you right.

In fairness the yoko's were great in the rain Pete, I had the off when it was nearly dry. They're not so good on wet grass tho!
I've been looking through my footage but not downloaded it yet. At the time it didn't feel like LOOS and doesn't look on the camera either. I was just carrying too much speed and stuck a wheel on the grass while trying to turn which set off the chain of events.
Thanks on the tip off for the parts.
Work goes a bit mental for me in about a month for the rest of summer so there's every chance I'll not have much time in the next month or two to do much with it. I'll get some unbolting done this weekend and see what's what if I get the chance. My Wife's gran just passed away so I think the family time may be more important next week or two.

In the meantime as I was saying to Pete last night my head is turning towards Maxi stuff. They've been one of my favourites ever since they appeared. Gonna be tempting for sure, but need to keep on track with my Impreza build too and not get distracted.

I think I maybe not be too choosy on the replacement panels and go a bit harlequin on it if I can't find cherry red replacements just to keep it moving and assess things from there. I just have a very real block buying things twice though, and prefer to do it right first time!

Gonna start a maxi rep blueprint thread to see what the score is.

Cheers all
Iain

Ha, I'll take that in the nicest possible way.
Not great with downloading footage etc. last time I tried it it took forever so need some time to see how I should be doing it as I can't believe it should take that long to get footage downloaded. With a bereavement, a car to fix and my daughters birthday this weekend I've got plenty on!
