Costs mount up quickly when attempting to recover a neglected or slightly tatty car. It is far easier and in fact cheaper to buy a minter in the first place. I know this from experience as I got my basically-sound-but-needing-some-attention Rallye for a really good price, but then spent ££££ making it tidy. While I doubt GTI6 prices will ever reach Ford Escort-level insanity, getting a mint low mileage example of a 6 or Rallye is now difficult. So in some cases minters will fetch a higher price for those that want them. Still a cheap car in the grand scheme of things. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

What I meant was, a 3 grand car is hardly an 'expensive car'. Mint 205s go for more don't they? ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |
