Interesting, that part number doesn't seem to come up for a 3 door 306 (Restyling) at all. When I put it in to buy it is listed as "Plug Towball"?

that's because the 306 never used the abs sensors to drive the speedometer, they all used the VSS, later vehicles like 307 picasso etc are multiplex so used less sensors.

hit the "search under other vehicles" button and you'll find it and a picture.

Ordered the blanking plate from my local dealer. Hopefully getting one otherwise I have to order 4 in from Peugeot directly, that's still cheaper than Spoox though!

Good news! Turned out to be my oil catch tank drain plug not being done up tight enough! I had the driveshafts out and was fitting the speedo drive blanking plate when I noticed oil all down the side of the chassis and on the bottom of the catch tank. Explains everything!

So your saying yiu can't tell the difference between engine oil and gear oil LOL the smell is a dead give away if it's box oil for starters.

At least it's a simple fix no need for box out then Smile

Haha, sniffing the oil wasn't my first thought although as soon as I drained the gearbox oil I did think it smelled much stronger than the oil that was on the floor! Smile

Waiting on my next batch of oil from Opie to fill the gearbox back up with a new sump plug. The top engine mount has decided to fall apart so need to get a new one. Other than that I should be good for the next race in a few weeks.

Best get some strong glue for your teeth with those lol. Good mounts for track use so be fine on yours but was one on the rallye when I first got it and at idle the whole car would vibrate like f**k steering wheel juddering up and down etc Crazy for a daily drive when sat at traffic lights etc it p**sed me off so that soon went.

I've got a Vibra fast road one. It's a piece of crap, I've repaired it twice and won't be buying another one!

Yea, still using Fuchs gearbox oil.

The fast road one is rubbish. The bolt inside is not shouldered and has quite a gap between the edge of the bolt and the hole it sits in. All the bolt heads seem to be made of cheese as well.

I'm really surprised at this Dan ...I wonder if any one else has had this problem ?....Miles swears by them ...I've not used mine yet... so no Verdict from me yet ...but my Baker BM one snapped ...

Hope your not thinking of going solid ?

I'm currently thinking solid, yea. Long term I think I'll get Carl to replace the mount itself as I'm not a fan of the whole design and a different one is lighter as well.

solid isnt a good idea, you need to do the whole lot and have a suitable cage stiffening the whole structure or you will have breakages.
