Hi guys, following on from my previous post of it not working, the relay was ok and we changed the heater control panel for one that was known to be fully functional - it now works, but all the time and on the fastest setting and you can't turn it down or off it only stops when you turn the car off - any suggestions or ideas as to wtf to try next guys any help much appreciated ________________________________________ Bianca 306 Rallye.Mondeo Titanium X. |

I'd say it's the fan unit itself, have you tried swapping out the unit? (Much easier than the controls ) |

Sure the auto is connected to the air con which is connected to the rad fan also check the connection to the aircon ! Plug to the left hand side by the rad and also as suggested change the fan the motor coils may have fused internally ________________________________________ BLACK RALLYE - phoenixWHITE RALLYE - valliant http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history |

The fan is never actually off when accessory power is on, the lowest setting it still rotates. The units sometime go crook and no matter what input sped it's told from the controls, it will only go full stick. Had the same issue in my wagon so I ended up pulling out the fuse until I got a new unit |

On AC models it's integrated with the blower motor. It's the Ally heatsink part underneath the fan blades as you look at it. You can buy them separately and to fit is only a few little screws but can be easier to swap the whole motor assembly if you have a spare. ________________________________________ Black power baby! I had all sorts of strange problems with my blower which took us a while to get to the bottom of. Turned out to be the resistor on the blower unit. Some people call it a rheostat too. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |
