How wide did you go with the spacers? Any camber machined in?
Are the beam mounts shallower/shorter then standard?

Wow surprising how much of the 1/4 panel you can do away with if you want to.

What do the kits come with in way of a wheel arch liner? I'd be wanting to do everything possible to stop any of the cut metal getting rusty. Obviously paint and a tonne of underseal etc too but do they come with liners?

Pete I've done similar on my Scoob with the WRC kevlar panels I'm fitting.

I've cut quite a lot away, but in hindsight this has more to do with following the original build format in the Prodrive era than by design as such. If I did it now I'd may be retain more of the original panel - actually in my case a lot of it was rusty now that I think about it - which was the catalyst for doing it in the first place.

That said, building in fresh metal to extend the arches adds a lot of strength back into the area. The turret will benefit from another strengthener as will the sills near the back when the jacking points go in.

This is a mock up of the steel when I was cutting it to size, which shows how much was cut out -

And a pic before the weldathon began

I think if you could fold and lip the original arches you would be fine with a twintex arch liner bonded in. If you have to cut a lot out for a tub inside the arch then fresh metal to keep things strong would be the way to go.

Cheers
Iain

Cage nearly complete.
Just got outer tunnel to take out to get seat rails in.
It was in good company as there was a 106 Maxi works car in having some work done!
Nice!

Ryan I think you need to choose front shocks with care to get ride height independent of damping adjustment. I think you need something like 60-70mm drop if I've read correctly. KW V2's could be a good way to go - be wary of the cheaper stuff!
