Hopefully with the quick-jack scissor lift and this gearbox jack it should make fitting my Sequencial box much easier to fit and take in and out on my own ?
Fingers crossed LOL

They are going to use mine as a template ....

Small update ...now my garage is finally finished it’s start on the Sequencial gearbox time ...I’m also removing the Calipers to send back to Hispec as a faulty batch was discovered and they want to take a look at mine as a precaution and seeing as I’m sorting the box out it’s good timing Thumbs up

Put together the car ramp today it’s 40mm high when flat ...amazing

The cars way high enough for me and I can get it 18inches higher by using x4 old cut up railway sleepers under the rubber blocks Thumbs up
The roof of the car then touches the ceiling of the garage...don’t think I’ll ever need that ?....but handy

Well a very unexpected update LOL

I was looking at a electrical control panel so I could remove all my existing wiring / relays and fuse box in my 6 ...
I looked at and read the reviews of a Cartek 16 channel distribution panel ...

I saw it at the NEC Motorsport show and tried my luck at getting it cheaper ( no chance ) sadly ...

Since then I managed to look at Ryan’s fitted into his Maxi and I knew I needed one .....With my Sequencial box I hopefully will be running a hydraulic handbrake soon ....I will hopefully have the room just behind the raised gear-lever .

Anyway I priced one up and with the loom £1150.00 silly money.... I just couldn’t afford that at mo ....I need to really sort all the wiring out ASAP .....lots of the wiring is around the bottom section of the steering rack and it is getting close to my feet now ..The false floor and pedal box cylinders fitted below a raised floor is lifting my feet a inch away from that loom not good

I get a phone call from Jamie a m8 saying ones just been posted on his forum brand new unused £900.00 ....I rang the chap and got straight to the point £800 cash and I’ll collect it tomorrow 180 miles away ...he agreed and tomorrow I’ll own one Thumbs up
Lots to do the weekend
Start the gearbox fab and trial fit and try DTA dash

Definitely the way to go nice neat little system just a bit costly like most things though better to go strait for it rather than buy cheap and change 5 mins down the line.
Make sure you get plenty of pics of the pedal box ... very interested in how it all sits

I 100% agree to often with Video and Cameras plus other obsessions ....I’ve bought items because that’s all I could afford at the time and I’ve ended up with a big money lose ...selling and buying what I really wanted !!!

Now I wait and work hard and save and get what I really want ...ok always OTT but I don’t drink or smoke ...

The misses likes cheap UK Hols in Devon / Cornwall thank god and she won’t fly or go by boat ... I run a R-reg 306 non turbo Diesal I bought for £750 9 years ago ...costs me nothing....and I do two quite good jobs as you know 6 days a week ...
Ok the misses has a Fiat 500 18 plate but she bought that Thumbs up

I’ve just got to pull my finger out now and get everything fitted LOL

Nice, everyone loves a bargain! So the cartek panel acts like an RCD and a switch in one, and I assume automatically cuts power to something if the current draw is too high? Can you program it to set a max current rating on each switch or are they set?

100% yes Pete
5/10/15 or put two channels together but lose a channel to make 30amp

The great thing is it’s one positive in and 16 out and every switch flashes when tripped ...

But the fantastic thing I think is the wipers and indicators can be set by the panel to intermittently go or flash and you set it

No laptop needed for anything Thumbs up

So no need for any relays at all? Sounds ideal, and must massively simplify the wiring!

Massively Pete ...I’ve still got my standard ignition key on mine ...ok I’ve stripped 40% of the behind dash wiring but I still got loads of weight to remove and simplify Thumbs up
