does the early Ph2 gti6 dash chime when you leave lights one with keys out like the ph3......
or has my dash started to play up

i cant remember about my ph2-6 as im driving a ph3-hdi as a daily which chimes

phase 2 has door pins unsure if they are just for the alarm but the interia light has stopped working too

so will have to investigate the pins and the door loom i think

Mine was on the rallye phase2.5 ? Guess its the same changed my pin gaitor for an hdi ph3 as you can change the pin arrangement as its not heat moulded its just a rubber cover
and it does affect the chime wiring for the lights its linked to the door open lights left on chime

I've had a phase 2 from six months old in early 1999 and have never heard a chime when leaving the lights on!

Really have never had a ph2 6 got the rallye 2.5 the astor ph3 had 1.6 ph3 xsi ph2 and various others and all have had the chime pull out key leave lights on door open beep beep beep even think my old ph1 turbo D had it perhaps its optional ?

to finish this..
yes they should chime Wink
I have changed the drivers door pin switch now the dash chimes and the interia light works again
easy fix for a change!
