no need to remove the ram, the left boot has a steel ring bonded into its inner end, just lever it off carefully.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

mocinim wrote: Hi gents back once again when refitting the steering rack what the best method to align the steering wheel and ram movement cheers ![]() The way I did it couple of times: - Undo the RAM from the rack to get full movement left/right (Gti/Rallye RAM limits the movement when turning right) - Turn the rack one way fully and measure how much it comes out - Move it the other way and measure again on the same side - Add up the measurements and divide by two to find out what is the mid-point - Move the rack so that it is at the mid-point - Fit the steering wheel straight - Re-attach the RAM ________________________________________ Cherry Red Rallye Project threadWhiteBMW M140i |
