... and for my next trick.. the holy grail of all badges (maybe)

I've redone the side yellow/red side (and boot) badges as found on the earlier 6's, as per the photos below.

These are gone on a gloss white vinyl with a polyurethane resin coating (not the cheap stuff which will go yellow over time) to look exactly like the originals.

These are going to be £6 each or £11 a pair (posted)

Got a couple ready to go but can do more at any time

I'll let the photos do the talking:

edit>

this is tea boy's photo from his project thread, to show a proper comparison against the original faded ones:

I like the new red/yellow ones.

Phase 1's didn't say 6 at all. Had no door badges and just GTI on the offside rear in red lettering same style as the S16 badge as far as I know.

Rikky Could you do me a custom one in bright Orange? Much brighter than the one you call orange at the bottom that looks yellow to me lol. Would want 3.

Top work though the reproduction of the original looks awesome.

Yes they did have the "6" badge. I've had two ph.1s, both had the red gti and this gel "6" badge in the same place on the rear of the vehicle.

Some ph.2s then somehow ended up with the badge as well as parts from ph.1s seemed to get randomly thrown on them for a bit, including the black centre console instead of the later silver one for example.

Mines an early phase 2 registered 1st August 1997 originally just said peugeot 306 on the rear and gti with the yellow gel badge on the doors. Also had black centre console and high bolstered seats.

I've never owned a phase 1 6 but I look after 1 completely untouched original standard black one that just has red GTI on te back no 6 badges anywhere and have had 2 other mates with them and none had 6 badges. Most of them people out them on later like most phase 2's end up with the red 6 badge from the later cars.

Not saying I know for a fact phase 1's didn't have them but I've never seen an original one with a 6 badge.
