When I start the car from cold and pull away without mucking about the car has no power for the for first 30 meters. However if I sit on the drive for 30 seconds (playing with stereo etc) and then pull away there is no issue. Also when starting when hot she can sometimes turn over a fair few times before starting.

I recently had the exhaust changed and the lambda sensor was changed to the one that came with the exhaust, is this the likely culprit?

yea could be Lambda sounds likely that your heating element is faulty

Found this its a little off due to being about a twin lambda instead of the 306 only has precat but thought it was good anyway

Thanks for the reply.

Didn't know they were £60 new, anyone know where they are cheaper (other than second hand)?

Had the same issue with mine. Wouldn't bother with the cheaper ones if you can avoid it. Decent Bosch unit and no worries! Buy cheap buy twice.

Is there any steam/white smoke from the exhaust on a cold start? Is it using any water?

No more than I'd expect under normal operation .

Cars in the garage on Monday I'll get them to see if there are any error codes...
