Just after people's views of the above, anybody had experience with them and any people would recommend for an engine conversion? thanks

Pugracing Thumbs up

though tbh, I'd do it myself with help from a few mates.

Pug1off are fine I've only brought a couple of things from them but they built a couple of mates race engines which have been sound,

Pugracing I've used and miles is a very nice bloke but can be a very long wait

I have used pug1off before for a few bits and can't fault them. They are about 40 miles from me and as said already Matt is a decant bloke who knows his stuff, although a bit pricey. He done a twin engined 306 v6 once which isn't my sort of thing but fair play and a 500 odd bhp 205 gti6 turbo.

Ive used pug performance once and won't say anymore. I'd rather try anything myself now before taking it to someone, at least then you know it's been done to your standard and satisfaction. Good luck with the build.

LOL
I know of a few people who would now rather do it themselves too. I rang pug1off for a simple chassis repair and they were trying to give me the impression that they may well need to cut out the chassis leg, weld a new one in and for all of that the engine needed to come out even though I expressed it was only a minor crack. So... I took it to daveyboy who did the proper and usual fix.

Not saying that ain't any good though. But I thought that seemed a little extreme.

I would love to try and do it myself but in reality I haven't got the time (and probarbly the knowledge, mainly on the electrical side of things) I've had the goodwood sat there for a couple of months now and not even touched it, plus the mi16x4 to do aswell :-/

Totally agree mate, that's why there's no chance I'm trying to do this one myself Smile

I used ecosse a lot many moons ago in my teens and twenties but then I started having a go myself as i couldn't justify the bills I was getting (there were a few mistakes along the way but we got there!). The work was always first class however from them. Not used or spoke to anyone at Ecosse more recently however but I doubt the standards have dropped, nor the prices!

More recently I've bought some parts from Pug1off and all has been fine!
