Hi guys. Anyone have suggestions on how to get a car that doesnt run, 200 miles back to my house? I dont have a trailor or a vehicle with a tow bar. What are my best options...? I would say hire a company were the car is based for them to pick up and deliver to you .. Might cost a couple of hundred quid tho ________________________________________ "Police arrested two kids yesterday, one was drinking battery acid, the other was eating fireworks. Get aa cover as a named driver rather than a on the car. Get a mate to run you up there and call out aa and say you need it to be taken home as its broken down. Will cost £80 for uk recovery membership and a reach around for your mate. ________________________________________ ***Breaking*** Ph3 Silver GTI 6 High Boost |

If you got your license past January 1997 and before 2013 you can tow up to 3.5 ton's including the trailer and towing vehicle. Before January 1997 it's 8 tons I think max towing? Remember reading up on it. Like someone else said, you can get someone to deliver it for you. I did this for a car from Aberdeen to Bristol. I checked ebay for someone local to Aberdeen, managed to so it all in for £350 which I don't think is a bad price. ________________________________________ Astra burg #365 Garrett Power'99 bodied 6 track project |

you have to be very careful with trailer plate weights, tow car weight and towing weight plus the load to do it without having the specific trailer licence, or do the license.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Ben, what about using a rigid tow bar? Think most cars have a towing 'eye' front and rear?? we towed a mates car bloody miles with one, we did an on tow sign for the rear window to cover our ass a bit. CLARKE do one, CLARKE TB-2S ________________________________________ Bianca 306 Rallye.Mondeo Titanium X. |

You have to be careful with towing on a bar as the car still needs to be insured & taxed to do so, and can't tow on motorways! Not trying to be a fun spoiler but police would pounce on it. ________________________________________ Astra burg #365 Garrett Power'99 bodied 6 track project |
