well my dad did this about 2 weeks ago and really enjoyed it although it had just been raining and was drying out slowly,he got a 1.59.9sec lap...not to bad and a out average for other that did on the day.

and you go out in the kia cee'd so same car as on the show.

of course he was having none of this so booked again for yesterday and my my mum booked me in also as she wanted to see what I could do and if I could beat my dad, healthy father son rivalling lol.

so I did my lap in 1.44.4 but pulled back onto the yard and the USB stick hadn't recorded my lap, happy days I got to go out again.....and then proceeded to do it on 1.42.2!!! which I thought is pretty bloody good as iv never done any track driving g at all!!

there is a online leader board for everyone who has done it,celebs included
I place roughly 9th place (which I'm well happy with lol)
the old man was about 207th tho lol so he wasn't pleased with me at all hahaha

overall good trip out,has anyone else done it??

I looked into it a while back but it's horrendously expensive isn't it? Like £200 odd for a lap?

This. I've been tempted to do it but it looked like a crazy amount of money

think it was about 170 probably because you go round with a trained driver and to cover cost of tyres or something. but yeah it's pretty dear as you only get 2 laps, an observation and a hotlap Sad think you can rent the track for a few hours for about 1000 apparantly.

was awesome tho really enjoyed it Smile

Yeah i suppose.
Trackdays are beginning to seem like mega value now then! Factor in the wear and tear, the day, fuel etc i reckon a day probably costs around £300 ish. Plus you can usually get free tuition if you want. Smile

Maybe so, but how much did you spend getting there

Personally, I think it's a complete rip-off. I even think the gift cards for supercar experiences are a waste of time and money.

I went to one and couldn't drive the Porsche as it was broken, wanted the McLaren but that was another £30 or something so had to drive a 458 italia, which was boring as f**k. No drama, the guy was assisting my brake around on my first lap, so I couldn't even get a feel for that.

The snotty little b**ch at the registration desk pressuring everyone into getting the attitional cover in case you spin off.

Everyone signed up, but I wouldn't let me girlfriend or I sign on the dotted line. Got lots of "oh, so you can afford to repair the car if you hit the cones?", never seemed impressed with my telling her I could afford the excess if I hit the cones, but I won't crash so won't need it. Looked disappointed when I told her I knew of the dual controls and the fact that traction/stability is always ON.
