Hi guys, hope someone can help.
I'm trying to get the box out of my GTi6, I've managed to get all the bolts out and also got around the clutch arm problem but now I just can't get the box off the engine, the box is a good 2 inches away from the block so I've definitely got the bolts out, I've managed to get the intermediate driveshaft out with the help of a lump hammer but it just keeps hitting the inner wing.
Do I need to rotate the box?
Do I need to get the long bolt off the gearbox (the one that is used for the gearbox mounting)???
Many thanks Cool

Have you put a screwdriver through the hole in the fork shaft and turned it?

To make sure the fork isn't getting stuck in the clutch bearing he means. I've started removing boxes by removing the mounting stud, makes it much easier to get it under the inner wing. Smile
