Evening folks, just got my Gti 6 on the road and had a mongoose cat back fitted. I've noticed it's quite boomy and drones quite abit. Is there an exhaust that isn't so bad? Thinking of taking it off and
Putting standard back on. Cheers.

Most aftermarket exhausts for the gti6 are fairly loud. Scorpions are okay for not droning usually but are still loud. Jetex are supposed to be fairly quiet.

Check that your catalyst and the outlet pipe of that are okay. It is common for a hole to appear or the pipe to begin cracking open which makes the exhaust very, very drony.

The standard exhaust is very nice if there are no holes though.

Thanks for your replies. It did sound good but there was just too much drone for me. Standard exhaust fitted and it does sound well. Will post
Some pics up shortly, made up to own another Gti 6.
