Sadly the time has come to break my much much loved 309. The full car is available although there are no dampers fitted at the minute, feel free to ask though! I'd be happy for someone to supply dampers and for me to get it up and running ready to go.
I would really like the shell to go first, that way the buyer can decide exactly what they want still attached. With that in mind I will be waiting for anyone to show interest for a couple of weeks before I start disassembling it.

1988 309xs Shell(with v5), full weld in cage, double diagonal door bars, harness bars, dash bar, seat mounts etc. fully glazed, bumpers, lights, gti trim etc. fabricated fuel tank with sump boxed in to meet msa regs, walbro external fuel pump with internal Teflon braided fuel lines, braided internal brake lines, poly front windows with sliders, roof vent, centre run/exit stainless exhaust, rad, clocks,no dash just a centre console, battery cables to carbon battery box in boot, QR front bumper, fia rain light,looms/fuse box, gti16 badge!!! etc etc. the shell is very solid, no crash damage although it has marks and some small areas of surface rust£1200

45k gti6 engine with conversion bits, properly unlocked ecu, re-angled mani, Bbm hose adaptor, simple alternator and tensioner set-up etc £600
16 row Oil cooler complete £100

1900 gti wheels with part worn r888 £200
1900 wheels with Michelin wets, just scrubbed in £250
4 x Michelin s9 slicks £120
Rear calipers, genuine pads, brembo discs £70
309 beam, rebuilt a few years ago but done less than 1000miles. 25mm bars, 28mm arb with 306 end plates, bridgecraft neg camber arms, solid beam mounts, nylon arb bushes £550
Lifeline dumpy plumbed extinguisher £50
Ears deep dish wheel with boss £60
Stud and nut conversion £50
Bridgecraft -2.5deg front hubs, good BBJ holes, fresh bearings, for use with rose jointed tre's £140
Virtually new wishbones with recent genuine bushes £80
Virtually new 309 shafts, not cheap motor factor tat, £120
Electric pas setup, 3.2 rack, saxo pump and wiring, high and low pressure piping, reservoir etc £120
Strut brace £30
Bias adjustable pedal box with cylinders £100
Seam welded front subframe £30
309 21mm front arb with clamps and almost new bushes £70
In date black Ears harness £80
AP 4pots, brackets, bells and rotors. Ready for pads, rotors recently skimmed but they've only got another 1-2 sets of pad wear left in them. Rotors are 280x25 from memory, fit under 1900 wheels with 3mm spacers. These are the absolute bo***cks, I love these brakes! Big grin £600

If you supplied dampers and springs I'd fit them, service and get it ready to go for 4.5k

Pete, not a massive amount really. I'd need to sort the track rod arrangement out as I was in the middle of changing it, re-fit front brakes, service and obviously fit some dampers.

Strut brace fits a 205 as far as I know yes.

What size are the slicks, and how much use have they had? S9 is the hard compound, correct?

"1900 gti wheels with part worn r888"

Do these fit a GTi-6 with the standard brakes? and standard wheel nuts?
How much life left on the tyres and what size are they?

You will need the 205 wheel bolts has there flat seated not tapered

Yes 1900'wheels fit with gti6 brakes, you can't run any balance weights on the inside on some versions though, they're quite tight. Gti6 bolts are flat seated so as far as I'm aware they fit fine, I do recall seeing some 306 bolts with a slightly longer shank though and it was debatable wether they'd tighten down properly, easy enough to check though. Tyres are all half worn I'd say but I will get photos for you.

Cheers eddy, beauty of the 309 is the extra track and length over a 205, this is sub 900kg too and there's much more weight that could be lost Wink
