I've had dealer ones when I had my S16 as getting the right one was a nightmareI've also had numerous standard eBay / ECP / Andrew Page ones, without any problems, and for about a third of the price of dealer ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

Fair enough. Thanks for the info. I was under the impression that the dealerkits were universal for all larger petrol engined 306s? ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

Maybe someone could write a FAQ on cat replacement options? That FAQ will probably become more and more useful as time goes on! I'll post up pictures of the repair I'll get done to mine. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

Bumping this, I have loads of cat fitting kit parts lying around, the problem is I have all of the bits but I'm not sure about which bolts are the correct length as I have various lengths here. I'm aware that it is the "middle length" bolt out of the kit but I can't be 100% sure which of the bolts I have would be that length. Is anyone able to give me the length of the correct bolts? Both overall length and distance from the head/taper to the thread? Any info that would help me determine whether or not I have the correct parts or I'd have to buy more bits would be very much appreciated. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

I have acess to a ramp but I don't want to obtain that access, drive the car a long way without much of an exhaust (my cat outlet pipe has now snapped again), and then find I don't have the correct parts. I have bolts which are shorter than the ones I used but if I used the long ones and my other ones are shorter, I don't know whether or not they are the medium, correct ones or the ones which are too short. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

Done the sigma not that long ago, and honestly I think everything is so distorted through the heat, it's trial and error, couple of washers on the old kit and a £4 gsf ring sorted it for me. ________________________________________ pet hate, the cat |

The two sizes I didn't use were, complete length 65.5mm and 72mm.No idea if I used the correct pair but they went on easy enough and it doesn't leak. ________________________________________ '90 1.6 205 GTi, '98 306 GTi-6 |

Brilliant! Yeah I think I have various springs as well, perhaps I need the same bolt but a longer spring then.A while ago I bought multiple kits and struggled to make any of them fit correctly. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

I've always found that when its a struggle to get the nut on for the first thread or two the setup is then pretty good at keeping itself sealed. Probably more awkward for me though as i do it laying on my back under the car making access much harder. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |
