Hi all,

just bought 4 of the above twin electrode plugs and the gaps on them seem very small. Are they ready to use 'as is' or do they need gapping? And if so to what gap?

Cheers gents

Barry

You should always check the gapping on new plugs. The correct information will be on the ngk website i should imagine.

**edit** They are factory gapped at 0.032. Just check to make sure its correct.

great info!

Cheers guysThumbs up

Didn't know whether to trust the NGK site as last time I checked it listed a BKR5 plug which apparently is too hot. Also just checked my new plugs and either my feeler gauge is wrong or they were all gapped smaller than 0.032, and not all the same gap either. All are now set at correctly ready for fitting tomorrow. Thanks again

They are gapped at the factory, but you can't trust how they've been handled by Jonny pizzaface at your local parts supply so it does pay to check single packet ones. That's another reason to buy a set of Bosch plugs, comes in a thermo formed packet and they are preferred by pug over ngk (at least they were when I worked there)

they have the cardboard tubes on them so they never get damaged anyway.

Never is a strong statement, I worked at an auto parts store in the past, and I've seen one derp run over a ngk 25pk box with a forklift. Cardboard isn't saving those
