If anyone is interested in one I could enquire about a group buy, this would reduce the cost of having these made.
If anybody is interested could they please add there name here so I can get an idea of numbers.

I am currently trying to get an alloy sump guard made to replace the existing undertray. If anyone is interested in one I could enquire about a group buy, this would reduce the cost of having these made. If anybody is interested could they please add there name here so I can get an idea of numbers. |

Lower strut brace does the same job, anything hits that before the sump as it's lower________________________________________ Black power baby! Unless you plan on using it as a rally car it will do the job. Anything your likely to hit in the road will hit it rather than the sump unless you drive into a f**k of big tree stump in which case your an idiot anyway.... Aaron6 who makes these has the same one on his car which is lower than mine and it scrapes over large bumps instead of his sump. ________________________________________ Black power baby! This is true. When my car was too low, on a crowned road the brace would hit the deck. I swear that in some cases if it were not there I would have definitely hit the sump. I wouldn't call it a guard but it definitely helped against the road. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

Then I look at Danny's phase 1 on 60mm front springs and 195/45/15 tyres and the sump has been warn away around the drain key including wearing Half the bung away nearly lol. Would have happened to yours if it weren't for the brace Not sure how much is down to the lowness of the car and how much it's the fat bloke in the drivers seat ________________________________________ Black power baby! Main issue is that anything half strong will bend / snap the cross member and destroy the loom. You need to weld in a fair bit of bracing. I'm adapting a 6mm ally one from a 205 ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

I would say alloy plate is the way forward. It's easy to work and light. What might I ask is the reason you want one? You building a rally car or something? ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

The original undertray was about buggered which is the main reason really but I'll be using it for hill climbing, sprints and road rallying as well. My first event will be barbon manor hill climb on 13th June. |

That's not quite what was said now was it... We merely said that the ones I've knocked take a whack on the road well. And to be fair, if it wasn't there I'd have most likely hit my sump. It light banter... No one would use a lower strut to act as sump guard when actually rallying. But as said above, the ally ones will still be very heavy so would be worth looking at an alternative material. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

"Unless your planning to use it as a rally car" I said..... Did I say it's the same thing as a full rally spec sump guard? No just said for most it would do the job as it's lower and most things will hit first. "Bell end...." ________________________________________ Black power baby! doesnt matter if its lower, its behind the sump and offer no protection to it.the subframe is lower than the sump, but that doesnt offer any protection to the sump either. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
