so yeah, get a laptop plugged in and it'll give you an idea of voltages etc.
This only works if the fuel pump is wired to the ecu though, mine are both wired to seperate switches and not to the ecu and the pumps just runs continuously regardless of whether the ignition is on or not, just the kill switch needs to be on.
If you've tried it wiring the 044 pump direct to the battery I can't see how the ecu would detect any sort of spike, it wouldn't even know the pump is running...?
