Ok so recently purchased a gti6 , here is my issue , when the car is started from cold it's fine , runs fine idles fine no real issues , if I stop , get back in the car while the engine is still a bit warm sometimes about 60% it will start to stall if left and if it's driven it revs up a bit and then it's seems to hit a limit won't rev and looses all power then jolts back to life then looses power etc etc it will do this for a few minutes and it's bloody dangerous , but then it will sort itself out and be fine for the rest of the journey.
I've change fuel relay , cleaned up some earths , cleaned icv , replaced map sensor ,I've used a new coilpack and tested all of them and made no difference, going to change Tps
Just to add if when it's cuts it's power you press the throttle down it will suddenly after a short delay boost back into life at like 3500 revs .
Just annoying as I'm holding back on using the car At times

Surely if it was the fact it has no lambda sensor it would be a nightmare all the time ?

Not really, from what I understand about these ecus is they don't use the lambda sensor all the time only under some conditions.

When you think about it when a car is heating up the fueling is different than at temp, so I would disregard the reading it gets anyway. (Welcomed to be proven otherwise, just a theory)

I looked into trying to get one by struggling to source one atm the exhaust is standard to the cat then has a magnex system but the old owner said he had a decat on it but swapped it out before the sale
And if it's possible then il get one on it and see of it solves the issue

I cant see it being the lambda doing that i never ran a lambda on my nile 6 pretty much from the day i bought it and had no issues for the 1st 5 month before i fitted all my VLR inlet and Omex ECU and still diddnt run one after that either. I would say it sounds more to be the grey air temp sensor in the throttle body before the butterfly

Well that air temp sensor was unplugged at first it was doing the same thing , but I noticed and plugged it in , unless it's not working , is the 106gti air temp the same ? As the green ecu temp is and so is the fuel relay

No idea take the one out your car and see if it's the same ? Be careful though they tend to break easily when you disturb them ?

I generally find with these cars when you start poking around the engine bay you find all sorts of bodged stuff Yes
