Hi all,
I have gti-6 with kentcams pt82 cams in place. ECU has been replaced with megasquirt.
During the setup/mapping the car on the dyno the mapper said that I have to make something to deliver more air for the engine.
My breathing setup currently is the stock one with new K&N (E-9000) filter in the stock airbox.

Previously I was using open conic K&N + thermoshield connected to the original hose, but I had to clean it very often, and that is why decided to go back to stock air setup.

So what could I do to make engine breath better? Should I replace the panel K&N with something else? Should I go for open filter again?

And one more question - in the box setup there is one plastic tube (http://s10.postimg.org/9a58ut7ah/tube.jpg) that sits between the filter and the air hose. To me it seems that it can go very deep in the filter and could prevent using the whole filter "area". Could this tube preventing the air flow rate?
