As title says really guys. I will lock my car as normal and the indicators flash to confirm.the car is locked and alarm/immobiliser is active. Then sometimes (and its only sometimes not always) the indicators will be flashing but the alarm siten isnt sounding? Now im wondering if the siren has been cut or even removed possibly but i have owned the car since oct and have never noticed this before until a few days ago. Im wondering if this is something people have come across before? My car is a phase 3 6, centtal locki g works fine and the red light on the dash flashes when the car is locked. |

Any more info dan lol is the hazards flashing by themselves a telltale that the siren is knackered or are you saying my alarm is going off and the siren is knackered? The last thing i need is a problem with my alarm |

Mine has done this since I bought it back in 2013 - funniest moment was when the hazards went off while it was on the back of the low loader on the M6. Quick plip to unlock the damn thing sorted it. If you lock it with the key in the lock the alarm isn't activated, so I'd do that for now to save flattening the battery. To be honest the alarm siren is in a godawful location (behind the passenger fog light) - if the underside bumper guard is missing on the passenger side it'll get full of water & road grime. Apparently a siren from a 106 fits (with the added bonus of also being in better condition - IIRC I read that on here?) but I can't personally verify it. ________________________________________ 2000 W Phase 3 Moonstone. |

206 sirens fit, although there are two different types fitted to the 206, but only one is the same size, shape and part number, they are behind the battery on the bulkhead |

Well there are enough people breaking gtis so surely i should be able to find a siren that works? I will be removing the front bumper for access when i will be fitting the engine so could replace it then. Will a new siren stop my hazzards flashing? Or am.i going to have issues with the ultrasonics inside the car as well? |

As said above get one from an early 206, they don't sit in the wheel arch so tend to last a bit longer.________________________________________ '90 1.6 205 GTi, '98 306 GTi-6 |

bigbadbowen wrote: Ultrasonics are shot and so is the alarm siren I agree, ultrasonics are knacker'd so alarms getting set off but siren isn't going off because it's also knackered. Get some phase 2 ultrasonics and solder them in to the loom, easy done. As for the siren, find a working used one or splash out over £100 at peugeot for new if they still do them ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Just because Phase 2 is cheaper if your buying new, as far as I'm aware the sensors are identical, I think the phase 3 just have a longer loom on them.I'd fix the ultrasonics before you fit the siren ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Ultrasonics are longer available - you can however disconnect them to sort the problem |
