Just thought I'd share some information my Peugeot tech friend told me today after saying I was trying to resist buying two 1988 505 GTI's for NZD$1800 (~£900).

After telling him I have 4 cars plus another shell sitting around and no more space but they were in mint condition and I want to buy them.

He stops putting brake pads in a 407 and turns to me and says, "I'm pretty sure the 406 quad cam 3.0l v6 bolts up to that gearbox."

What....

I wouldn't know how true it was, but he knew that it would put the idea in my mind to try it.

He knows I'm that type of person that I would try it, even make an adaptor if it didn't.

Would take a stack of mounting work to get it longitudinal anyway, but it would be awesome!!

If we never attempted anything difficult the mankind would never advance so do it for the human race. I'd certainly be very interested to see that being done Thumbs up

quite unlikely the ES9J4 fits, the older 90 degree angle PRV 24v unit will, as it was the same bottom end as the 12v, but its only 170 bhp and flawed.

probably not too tricky to make it fit though.

p.s, BUY THEM.

pretty much none left here Sad
