GTi-6 Diablo Red - Great Car, still going brilliantly - Bought as my dream car 10 years ago and been my dream car ever since.

Low mileage for the age - I've only used it at weekends since I've had it hence the low miles

Never been crashed - as far as I'm aware the most damage has been done by a neighbours bike and a car door in the wind.

I bought the Vehicle in April 2005 (with 44,000 miles) so have had it for nearly 10 Years, It's never put a foot wrong and never let me down - Needs a couple of things done now - drivers seat getting a bit tatty as they all do - Timing belt and water pump just changed in March 2015 - Paintwork needs looked at in a couple of places (middle of roof and on front grill) - I know many on here know these cars inside out so no point messing around.

I believe there's only been 2 previous owners (possibly 3) - The man I bought it from and Charles Hurst Peugeot in Belfast (I'm told one of the managers had it as a company car but can't be sure - V5 says 2 Previous keepers)

Have extra photos that I can email to anyone who's interested. Any other questions just ask!

Finally got the photo on! - this is the car 6 months ago

Timing Belt/Water pump has now been changed and price reduced.

You will struggle to get that sort of cash mate. It will need a belt no doubt as i take that one to have been done around 9 year ago. Even rallyes arent doing money like that. Pics would help the sale tho. Just a heads up Thumbs up

Thanks for your response eddy_gti6 - Obviously price is negotiable and I know you know a lot more than me, was just basing it on other adverts on here and the fact mileage is low.

Tried to attach an image but it posted without it - assume due to the size of the image? If you know what size image needs to be to post let me know as I couldn't find in the FAQ. Thanks

Which other adverts on here? I've seen others go for that money but only similarly low mileage rallye's with a lot of nice mods or similar.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news and if you can get more then fair play and good luck to you, but dividing your price by 2 would still be reasonably good money for one with a tatty drivers' seat and needing a cambelt IMO.

I've gone over the stated mileage due to the belt "looking good" (I know this doesn't mean too much) but I'd be scared about the belt, it should be on its 2nd belt by now

My cambelt has just gone past 3 years / 30.000 and I'm worrying about putting it off for another month or two. Price is very high to me for a non mint standard car.

Thanks for the comments re: price etc - suppose I didn't really know what price to put but had to put something lol - I would have just put 'offers' if allowed. Of course I would accept much less if decent offer came
RE: cambelt - I had just been going by the miles and had never thought about the age of the belt, actually had no idea how long I've had the car till I looked it up today to put the ad on, time flies :/ - will get it sorted asap unless someone buys it to do themselves.

As previously stated mate belt desperately needs doing. If it's a job you can complete yourself I say do it immediately as it'll help it sell. With that age of belt most of us would be terrified to drive it home!!

Also as stated previously your price is far far to high even for a low mileage car. I remember seeing them back in 2009/2010 for less money than that. With the belt done and the car on our side of the Irish sea you'd see maybe £1000-1250 tops. Sorry bud! Also for pics try using a image upload service like photo bucket etc.

Based on what I paid for my car bought from a dealer with cambelt and water pump done with less than half the miles, half the price and maybe depending on other factors.

Thanks all for the comments - apologies if I've wasted your time, I'll get the belt done and re-list if I can find some money somewhere to get it done :/

Meantime I'll reduce the price to something at least halfway believable and come back (or re-list, depending on which stays within forum rules) when the belt is done etc.

I'll also try to get an image up later too as couldn't get it to upload originally. <--- Now done!

Don't get too depressed regarding value, this is an owners forum so people know all the flaws and are 'up-to-date' with prices. If you can hack the mouth-breathers on eBay and Gumtree then try advertising there: you might find someone who has little knowledge of the model and you can wring their wallet dry with a friendly smile on your face. Smile

f**k 'em, they probably deserved it.

I 'May' be interested in this, as I want another Diablo '6 but I've just passed my LGV test and would depend on my work situation, see how things go. In the next couple of weeks/month. If someone buys it in the next few weeks then fair play to them GLWTS. Thumbs up

Tom, for one minute I thought you had turned all nice Flowers

O/P the point about this being an owners forum full of Jackals is a valid one, places like this are not somewhere to get top money for stuff, it's a bear pit Yes

eBay, autotrader and Gumtree are your friend Thumbs up
