It's clear you are going through the same process I did, the one thing to consider, I bought a momo boss and then a snap off/detachable unit, however those combined with a dishes wheel basically bring it so far out that you have to sit on the back seat (hence ive just sold one snap off boss on eBay and have another on there now
I've resorted to just a boss and wheel and that is about as far as it can come out and still reach the gearstick...(I've seen some companies make a shortened boss which I gues you would need if you want snap off...)

Here is the boss (I paid £80 for it but doubt I'll get half back) http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=331464923

My wheel setup if it helps:

Sorry for the spam, I was watching this, if genuine being flat you could prob run that and a snap off boss..

Cheers for the heads up - if you don't mind me asking the personal questions

How tall are you? Inside leg? And yes i buy breakfast Big grin

I'll need to do some measurements i guess to work out how far out i want the steering wheel. Saying I do like it in close. But the main thing for me is getting my feet/legs in a good position to brace myself.

I don't suppose you measured how much the Momo Boss plusyour flat wheel gave you in reach?

Thanks again for the heads up.

Haha eggs Benedict please....

So I am just under 6'3" and my inside leg is circa 34" I didn't measure the momo boss and the car is being mot'd as we speak so can have a look later, however I would say it's probably a good 1.5 inches closer to my chest (it's basically about as close or high up as I would be happy with) first gear is still pretty much a straight arm

I'm running buckets which do mean I sit lower, with the snap off I was actually finding the top of the wheel was above the dash binnacle...

Fundamentally the biggest difference is my knee can sit behind the wheel when off the clutch rather than touching it, so I can catch the liftoff oversteer without tangling my arms and legs!

Are you sure? That one looks more like a WRC to me based on extensive google images searching. Still looks very nice.

It's not as suede as a new one. It has been used

I can only find normal bosses for a 306 and not with the airbag bypass

I think I'll keep it now. May sell boss at later date though
