Saying that i need a dished one because i don't have super long arms in relation to my legs! ________________________________________ Turned 40 and in true cliched fashion buying one of the cars of my teenage dreams! |

I dread to think how much the door trim pieces would be, but I really want it.MisterGTR - Jack at Royal Steering Wheels will be able to trim your wheel like that. IIRC Matt Evans on here had his steering wheel trimmed by him. Loads of good feedback on M3 forums etc. ________________________________________ 2000 W Phase 3 Moonstone. |

Seats look really good, seems to give it a slightly more modern look without changing it drastically.Door cards also look great but not my cup of tea looks a bit plasticy for my liking, if car was stripped out with a cage eg it would suit it. Is it alcantra on the steering wheel? Looks good but Im not sure how well it would wear. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I had the sa same issue, I'm 6'3 but have long legs/short back and knees made it very awkward for speedy steering manoeuvres - the combination of a momo boss and OMP wheel solved it perfectly but you do sacrifice the airbag Don't buy anything but a genuine wheel, I can't beleive how crap my 'replica' omp Corsica wheel was compared with my recent ebay omp bargain |

Realistically it is a metal circle. As long as the metal is thick enough and made out of good quality material there's nothing fancy about it. I agree though cheap ones will probably be made of cheese with no research into how strong they need to be. I'll ask at work if we've ever tested any motorsport steering wheels. I'd imagine they're mostly done in house if they even bother. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

Might even get the red one. http://www.mcgillmotorsport.com/13-rally-steering-wheel-3-dish-black-suede-black-spars-301/ Just need to find the boss with indicator cancel and airbag cancel. That looks almost identical to the one I had (RMD) and now I have an omp I can't emphasise the huge difference in rigidity in particular I would strongly recommend spending a bit moreThe momo boss from demon tweeks has indicator cancellation and comes with the resistor to cancel the airbag light :-) For ref this is my wheel which is on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=331462111113 |
