Saying that i stick with it because of the performance but there's better stuff on the market depends on how much you abuse power tool to be fair Should get yourself a Makita then (sorry!) ________________________________________ Turned 40 and in true cliched fashion buying one of the cars of my teenage dreams! |

I've that gun and it's quite good. Has saved me hours and hours dismantling cars. I got a bare combi drill body on offer £40 odd. Been tempted by the grinder and reciprocating saw ________________________________________ |

welshpug! wrote: yeah I've got a combi drill or drill driver, specific model I dont recall, angle grinder, impact wrench, reciprocating saw and a Lamp. my brother has the same impact driver, a drill, the site radio, 110v SDS drill and a mitre saw, also a circular saw IIRC! the 18v grinder is ok for scrapyard stuff and really light work, but you'll be flattening the standard 3Ah batteries quite quickly if you use it hard, you can get 4Ah batteries. all LXT 18v stuff so all my stuff is compatible with my brothers 18v batteries too. Annoyingly (well not really it was nice present) this is what i have and haven't used - shame it's not an impact wrench. That would have been handy. Came with a drill which I've used once. I've still got a Bosch corded one i've had for 20 years that i use to make a mess of my house http://www.makitauk.com/products/cordless-tools/impact-drivers/all-cordless-impact-drivers/dtd129rfe-18v-impact-driver-li-ion.html Think i'll get the corded one that Barry recommended at £40 (will hold off till i've done a bit more research) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Timbertech%C2%AE-ESSR01-Impact-Screwdriver-Carry/dp/B0036DVXXG I like that its torquey 450nm (not bad for a wee thing!) ________________________________________ Turned 40 and in true cliched fashion buying one of the cars of my teenage dreams! |

I Keep telling myself I'm going to get a nice powerful electric driver gun, I had to hire one last year to remove the crank pulley on mondeo as there's no locking hole in it.________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I take it that it was you who snuck in and bought that B12 kit on oc? Refreshing everything + a cheap B12 kit was my overall plan, should make it an excellent drive. Remove it and sell it to me before setting your car on fire please. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

It's becoming a very expensive fire if I go that way ________________________________________ Turned 40 and in true cliched fashion buying one of the cars of my teenage dreams! |

No problem, I've no money left after setting out to buy a cheap 900 quid car and then buying a zetec s. It's more annoying they didn't come up for sale in a few months from now. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |
