Do any of you fine folks run your 6 on the higher ron fuels? I know on certain cars it basically does nothing and that lower ron is perfectly clean enough, just wondering if theres any gains to be had? |

What's the consensus then v power nitro? As I don't run my Rallye everyday I'm perfectly happy to drop decent fuel in it. Not expecting another 10bhp or anything but if it's better for it... ________________________________________ CLUB BLACK RALLYE||B8s||60-70mm drop||Black Partner Steels||P1 VTS Rack||Refurbed Beam||Hybrid ARB||VTS Torsion Bar|| |

If you are really lucky to live in the right area you can buy BP 102 octane which is the highest legal octane you can buy on the street |

Mine does seem to run much better on V Power. Could be placebo affect or whatever but it does feel better.Plus it's only like 112p/l at the moment! ________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Interesting, next time I fill up I will put some better stuff in. My nearest garage is a BP so I'll see what their stuff is like.I've read that the extra cost is offset by better MPG? |

We only use shell nitro plus in the GF's JCW Mini. We have been caught out and had to put in 95ron and you can tell the difference. I dont think you get any more mileage out of it though.________________________________________ DIABLO GTI-6 - Legend - NILE GTI-6 - SoldCHERRY GTI-6 P1 SUPERCHARGED - Broken up BLACK RALLYE - Sold 205 Dturbo xud9 work horse - Dead CHERRY RALLYE - new toy |

Have to run my low boost on high octane so always use V-power ever since the day it was charged. However at certain times I find it seems to love BP 97 as that's what I believe they are mapped for (97RON)As far as "clean burning" that's not what it's about. The higher the octane number the slower the fuel burns. Therefore the greater resistance to pinking or pre detonation. Also the slower it burns the longer it effectively pushes down on the piston during the explosion cycle. Cought out dan? Never let the 6 get so low I can't get it to a BP or shell ________________________________________ Black power baby! I use my 6 daily and only use normal shell petrol. I've used vpower nitro in it before, and various other supers and noticed no difference. So mine now only ever gets normal shell fuel unless it's out of stock.________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

Shell V-Power Nitro+ UnleadedCleaner engines perform better, which is why we created Shell V-Power Nitro+ Unleaded. It’s specifically designed to instantly get to work on engine deposits which can reduce performance. Our unique double action formulation now contains 25% more friction reducer than our previous Shell V-Power formulation. It’s Ferrari’s choice for improved performance. |

In my 6 when it was standard (ish) not charged I only noticed a wee bit more power flat out top end once cams are well and truly in. But wasn't a lot. Also as it went slightly better I found myself thrashing it more so using more..... Not worth the extra money at the time. Now all it gets is Vpower nitro lol ________________________________________ Black power baby!
