Time to actually bother putting a diff in my low boost before I go any further with it. Mine mostly gets fast road use but may do a few track days in the future. Was thinking quaife as uses standard gear oil and is fit and forget. Though obviously not as dead solid lock as a plate.

What's anyone got?

Lol final drive is a bit low for me Marty thanks I use the car on the road a lot and motorway every now and then. Wouldn't mind a slightly lower one but 118 I would be changing gear every other second

What sort of price would he do? I had a mate that worked at quaife that said he could he me one massively discounted for like £400-450 new but he's not responed to messages Sad

I see some on eBay for well over £700 an others for £650.... Any actual difference in the product or are some selling it cheaper on the same site lol

Ok thanks worth an ask if I don't get one second hand. Obviously need new bearings from pug but do people replace the crow wheel bolts as well? Or just thread lock the old ones?

The guy Pete suggested is after £550.... If I can get new delivered for £655 it's not much of a saving to be honest but waiting for them to respond as to if it's the same part number etc. I said to him I'd stretch to £500 cash as it's not been used much.

Seen several boxes with one on go for £400-450 on here but I think those are few and far between and priced to sell quick as. £500 is probably a fair price.

He won't budge from £550. I've got a reply from JJC and they said its that same part number so £100 saving compared to other places at the minute. Gonna bite the bullet and buy one from them. That way I get lifetime warrenty Big grin

Is there just one part number for BE1/3/4 gearboxes?

I fancy one for my 205 (VTS gearbox fitted) but I'm sure I put my 205 diff in it with the VTS crownwheel so I could run 205/309 shafts. So do they do a smaller shaft version to save me swapping joints?

I've some prices from Quaire. £575 plus VAT. Free web delivery.

If I've understood the group buy discounts correctly:

2-5 direct from Quaife is no cheaper than JJC.
    6-9qty £621
    10-19qty £552

Getting 10 names may be tricky though.
