I heard this story a while ago, when the British tanks ceramic clutch plates got contaminated with oil
the mechanic used washing machine powder or baking soda and cooked it until it absorbed all the soaked oil,
i probably wrong i some of the details.

I like it, go to hassle of removing the clutch from a big tank and save some money on a new clutch, sounds like it was run by the local council.

Smile I suppose so yes but I would of expected them to have spares in stores, rather than order a online delivery from tesco

The British army was very cheap or poor those days, they gave crappy notorious Stens to the Heidrich assassins,
that stuck in the event without even one bullet shot.
