Going to start getting the engine ready to go in my 205 today, one of the jobs is the crank/hockey stick seals, can anyone confirm the tightening torque for the bearing cap, I've seen 70nm but just want to confirm that it is described as the main bearing so I make sure I torque it correctly!Cheers |

I did mine as per the setting for the main bearing cap in the FAQ, and it's been fine....________________________________________ Team Running Engine again!Team Negative Camber! My Budget track engine build thread! Now appearing at a Trackday near you!! |

Me too, it's not the tightening torque that will wffect the seal, the torque is there for the crank bearings and bolts ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Thanks for the replies. Done one on a previous rallye and it was fine just couldn't remember what torque setting was used! 70nm it is then! |
