When you tighten the nuts up it will pull the bearing home.________________________________________ |

not advisable really, only m7 bolts and they bend easily.best bet is to clean both parts thoroughly and you'll feel/hear it clunk home, the size of the collat holding the bearing in place varies so they won't all look the same. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

When ever I remove a shaft I always clean up the bearing with either a scotchbrite pad on a die grinder or some emery cloth. Then cover it in copper slip. Goes in easy as anything and comes out next time. The bolts will pull it in all the way if you do them up evenly. But as said if it's to tight going in then I wouldn't force them. ________________________________________ Black power baby! Never had any problems just using the bolts to pull the shaft into place |

bearing looks seated, but why two nuts? standard ones are locking type.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Found by using a over size nut it fitted into the hole nicely to act like a washer , then put the normal locking nut on found it a lot easyer to tighten it up as it gave me more room for the ratchet and be Easyer to remove if ever need to , when I first removed these I had to grind bit of my 11mm long reach socket down to fit into the recess hole as it wouldn't go in So I've just done this to makes it easyer for me lol :-) |
