Was looking to know if anyone has replaced there tatty exhaust heat shields with heat resistant foam or any other products ?

I believe I seen this in a project thread but can't seem to find it .

Any help or thoughts welcome

A former member got around 5 Stainless steel ones made up, I bought one, they look great.

Which heat shield - the one in the engine bay? I'd make one/get one made in stainless using the old one as a pattern and it will last forever, much neater than bodging it and probably costs about the same.

Tbh, Its too pieces on the underside of the car I was looking to replace them with adhesive heat resistance foam , and just recover the backbox one.

Sorry just recovering the back box one to keep the shape, as all are tatatty and there's only a couple of clips left holding them on most are broke,

Much neater to just buy new ones from Pug. That's what I did. Others have ditched one or more of them (clearly kept the one under the fuel tank!!), but I thought they are there for a reason. I zinc primered and heat resistant silver painted the new ones before putting on the car. Should last for a long time now.
