I need to paint a few panels on the race car, where's the best place to get paint matched to the colour of the car? I can bring a panel along for them to match it if easier.

Repainting should be a case of:

- Clean panel
- Flat down
- Primer (1, possibly 2 layers)
- Cherry paint
- Lacquer

I think?

are you spraying yourself?

find a local paint shop or bodyshop and get it matched directly against an adjacent panel, if you use a part from another are they may well not match.....

Going to give the spraying a go myself. I've got the space and most of the tools to do it so worth a shot.

I've found a nearby paint shop so going to take one of the wing's there and ask them to paint match, seems to be the safest thing to do.

I know what Chiefton has said but my local pug dealer gave me the code for cherry red as EKBB

Halford's then mixed me up some lovely cans using the code EKB

That p3kb probably matches 13yrs of fade very well, I just wanted the actual original on my engine bay.
Up to you DemonDan
